| Glen Paulk Glen Paulk grew up in New Mexico and earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of New Mexico. After a tour of duty in the Air Force, where he received his pilot's wings, he returned to UNM to and completed studies for a Master's degree. After a career with Steamboat Ski Corporation in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Glen returned to his love of art where woodturning became a significant part of his life. The excitement of revealing the beauty within a piece of wood has not diminished with time. Each turning is an adventure within itself and no two are ever alike; therefore the excitement will always be present. It should be noted that the majority of the wood used in the turnings is secured from piles that would normally be burned. However, on rare occasions, special woods are purchased. Glen has participated in art shows at the Steamboat Springs Art Depot, The Bent Pine Gallery in Winnsboro, Texas, The Franklin County Arts Alliance, Mt. Vernon, Texas, and has been represented at the Milner Gallery in Gig Harbor, Washington. |
